Who we are

This site is run by Dub Dub Dub. You can contact us at hello@dubdubdub.co.nz.

What we collect

When you use the enquiry form, we collect your name, your business name, your type of business, your website or social media link, your mobile number or email address, and whether you'd like a call. Our web host also keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses.

Businesses we contact first

To build free previews, we use business details that are already public, such as your website, Google listing and social media. If we email you, we use an address your business lists publicly, and every email tells you how to opt out.

How we use it

We use these details to reply to you and to build the free preview you asked for. We don't sell them or add you to a mailing list.

Where it's kept

Enquiries are stored with our web host and our email provider. Some of their servers are outside New Zealand and Australia. We aim to delete enquiries that didn't go ahead after 12 months.

Visit stats

This site and our preview sites record anonymous visit stats: the page, which sections were viewed, how far down the page you scrolled, how long the page was open, which links were tapped, and the type of device (phone, tablet or computer). We don't use cookies for this and we don't store your IP address. A random visit number is kept in your browser until you close the tab. If we made a preview for your business, we can see that the preview was viewed. We use this to improve our previews and our site, and we delete these stats after 24 months.

Your rights

You can ask to see or delete the details we hold about you. Email hello@dubdubdub.co.nz. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles and the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

Complaints

Please email us first if you're unhappy with how we've handled your details. When we can't resolve it, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) or the New Zealand Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).
